Silq is a tech-enabled freight forwarding and quality inspection company helping North American importers manage global supply chains.
About the Role :
We’re looking for a driven and commercially sharp Account Manager based in Mumbai, India to grow Silq’s customer base and deepen existing client relationships. This is an individual contributor role with high impact you’ll be the bridge between North American buyers and Silq’s freight and inspection services. You’ll report to the Director, Inspections APAC and work closely with the operations and sales leadership teams.
Compensation: Competitive + Benefits (25-30Lakhs INR per annum)
What You’ll Own :
New Business Development : Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers primarily buyers in the US and importers into India who source goods from APAC. Build a pipeline through outreach programs, leveraging your network and Silq’s service offering.
Account Growth : Own and grow a portfolio of existing Silq accounts in India; deepen relationships, expand service adoption (freight + inspections), and increase revenue from current clients.
Client Solutioning : Understand importer pain points around freight execution and quality inspection; craft tailored proposals and service packages that align Silq’s capabilities with client needs.
Relationship Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts; ensure high client satisfaction, handle escalations in partnership with operations teams, and drive long-term retention.
Market Intelligence : Stay informed on trade lane developments, competitor activity, and customer trends across APAC-US import corridors; share insights with internal teams to sharpen Silq’s positioning.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Silq’s origin operations and inspections teams to ensure seamless service delivery; coordinate with finance on invoicing and commercial terms.
What We’re Looking For :
– 5-8 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or quality inspection services
– Demonstrated track record in B2B sales or account management ideally selling freight, inspection, or supply chain services to importers or buyers
– Familiarity with international freight modes (ocean FCL/LCL, air) and trade lanes from APAC (China, Southeast Asia, South Asia) to North America
– Experience with or strong understanding of quality inspection and QC processes is a significant advantage
– Comfortable engaging with US-based clients ,strong written and spoken English, and ability to work across time zones when needed
– Self-starter with strong commercial instincts; able to manage a sales pipeline independently without a team structure
– Startup or high-growth company experience preferred; adaptable and comfortable building things from scratch
Location: Mumbai, India (with regular coordination with US-based teams and clients)
