Kushinagar: Villagers Allegedly Assault Policemen Responding to Land Dispute, Woman Accused of Biting Constable

Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident of alleged assault on police personnel has come to light from Kushinagar district, where a team of Dial 112 officers was reportedly attacked while responding to a land dispute.

According to reports, a dispute broke out between two groups over a piece of land in Bindwalia village under the Padrauna Kotwali police station limits. Following the altercation, a complaint was made to the Dial 112 emergency response service.

After receiving the information, a police team reached the spot to assess the situation and restore order. However, the situation allegedly turned violent when members of one group attacked the responding officers.

Sources claim that several individuals, described as local strongmen, assaulted the police personnel and obstructed them from performing their duties. During the scuffle, a woman allegedly bit a constable on the hand, causing injuries.

As the situation escalated, additional Dial 112 personnel were rushed to the village to bring the situation under control. The reinforcement team managed to take charge and prevent further violence.

Police officials are investigating the incident and identifying those involved in the attack. Legal action is expected against the accused for assaulting public servants and obstructing police work.
