Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, managing a team of sales professionals, and expanding business in the assigned territories across Maharashtra (including key cities and new areas as assigned). The role involves sales management, customer relationships, and implementing strategies to achieve growth and sales targets aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Growth:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets in the assigned region.
Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through innovative sales approaches.
2. Sales Team Management:
Set clear sales targets for the team and individual members.
Monitor team performance, providing feedback and support to ensure targets are met.
Lead hiring, training, and development of the sales team.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
Manage key accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
4. Reporting & Analytics:
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and team achievements.
Use data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.
5. Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competitor activities.
Adjust sales strategies based on insights.
6. Sales Promotions & Campaigns:
Develop and implement sales campaigns and promotional activities.
Monitor effectiveness and refine strategies accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
At least 10 years of sales experience in General Trade
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Sales Manager
Preferred Skills:
Strong leadership and team management ability
Excellent customer relationship management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
