Head – Marketing

Key Responsibilities :

1. Performance Marketing & Platform Growth :

– Own the strategy, budget allocation, and ROI/ROAS for performance marketing across marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart) and Quick-Commerce platforms (Blinkit, Bigbasket etc.).

– Optimize paid search, display ads, and programmatic campaigns to drive traffic, conversion, and market share.

– Analyze data trends to shift budgets dynamically between platforms for maximum business impact.

2. Product Innovation & Management Integration :

– Act as the strategic link between Innovation and Product Management, ensuring new product launches are seamlessly integrated into the e-commerce roadmap.

– Feedback online consumer insights, ratings, and reviews into the product development pipeline to influence future innovations.

3. Content, Catalogue & Digital Marketing :

– Oversee the Content & Catalogue function, ensuring best-in-class A+ content, optimized product detail pages (PDPs), search engine optimization (SEO), and high-converting imagery/videos.

– Drive 360-degree Digital Marketing initiatives, including social media, influencer campaigns, and CRM, to build brand equity and drive organic D2C/marketplace traffic.

4. Stakeholder & Leadership Management :

– Work in close alignment with the Corporate Marketing team to maintain brand guidelines and leverage cross-functional synergies.

– Partner with Category Heads to align marketing calendars with inventory, pricing, and sales targets.

– Regularly present growth strategies, performance metrics, and market insights to Top Management/Executive Leadership.

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building :

– Directly manage and mentor a team of 5-6 reportees across performance, content, and digital marketing.

– Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuous experimentation, and high accountability within the team.

Candidate Profile :

Experience & Qualifications

– 12-15 years of post-qualification experience

– MBA or equivalent degree

– Proven track record of managing substantial ad budgets on Amazon, Flipkart, and Quick-Commerce apps.

Key Skills & Competencies :

– E-Commerce Mastery : Deep understanding of marketplace algorithms, retail media networks, and quick-commerce dynamics.

– Stakeholder Management : Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence Category Heads, Corporate teams, and CXOs.

– People Leadership : Strong experience in managing and grooming mid-level managers

– Analytical Mindset : Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable growth strategies.
