Role Overview:
As the Senior Manager, Startup Accounts (People Management), you will lead a team of Account Managers dedicated to nurturing and expanding relationships with Razorpay’s key startup clients. Your primary focus will be on driving account retention, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction while fostering a high-performing and motivated team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and support, to deliver exceptional value to our startup partners & Mid enterprise Accounts and contribute to Razorpay’s overall growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their performance and career growth.
– Develop and implement strategies to maximize account retention and minimize churn within the startup segment.
– Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing startup accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and expansion of Razorpay’s product suite.
– Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at startup clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
– Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, identifying trends and insights to optimize account management strategies and improve client outcomes.
– Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop tailored solutions and campaigns that address the specific needs and challenges of startup clients.
– Ensure timely and effective resolution of client issues and escalations, working closely with support and other relevant teams.
– Develop and execute leadership development programs for the team to enhance their skills and prepare them for future leadership roles.
– Oversee the farming strategy for key accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and proactive identification of growth opportunities.
Mandatory Qualifications:
– 8 years+ relevant experience in Key Account Management/Sales in B2B space.
– Knowledge of best customer service practices.
– Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers.
– Go-getter attitude.
– Hardworking with strong work ethics.
AI Skills
Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance client engagement, generate insights, and support reporting and account growth strategies will be preferredExperience in leveraging AI tools for client communication, business reviews, reporting, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities will be an added advantage
